To The Mattox Family,
I am a firm believer that people are place in our lives, it just does not happen. It is a blessing to have met this family. My prayers and thoughts are with you and yours. With much love.

Marian Wright Edelman once stated that "education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it." Mr. Mattox epitomized the characteristics of that special person who believed in not only helping others to strive to reach their potential, do and be the best that they can be, but one who reached back to bring others forward.
His passion for teaching, his students and history were evident every day in his classes and anyone who had the good fortune to observe him came away with new understandings and respect for what it truly means to go above and beyond the call of duty!

mr mattox you were my favorite teacher and you always seemed to have a smile on your face despite what you were going through. You cared even though it wasn't your job to care and you listened to everybody. You made me stay on track and you made me thi8nk about my actions you inspired me to do better. You will be missed by all the rica students and it was a pleasure to know you. I wish your family the best.

Ronald was a great brother-in-law and friend. Every time we were together as a family, he always made me laugh. He has such a wonderful personality and spirit. He was a great father and we will miss him so much. He was an Angel to his wife on earth and now he will be an Angel for all of us. Thank you for honoring Ronald.
