Honor Your Loved Ones
My dad (Scott Cartwright)
April 12, 1957 - August 14, 2011
It has been one full year since I lost my dad to colon cancer. I recently found his old Twitter profile and was reminded of what a sweet, hillarious, brilliant guy he was. I would give anything for a funny tweet from him, or for one of his random, thoughtful "I love you" texts. As I approach some huge life changes this next month my heart aches because I can't go to him for advice. He always knew exactly what to do, and his solutions were always based on integrity. I know with out a doubt that his family was the most important thing in his life, and that knowledge and love has gotten me through this last year with out him. I miss him so much.
