Chris4Life Young Professional Board's First Annual Chris4Life's Eat4Life
The Chris4Life Young Professional Board is always looking for new, fun innovative ways to promote colon cancer awareness within the DC metro area. Learning more about colon cancer and prevention strategies over the past couple of years, we recently came up with an idea that related to our age group, was relevant to the cause and area, pushed our creative minds to the test, and simply made me us really excited.
What we came up with was a chef competition that would highlight local top chefs, while simultaneously promoting colon cancer prevention awareness. Colon cancer development has a high correlation to diet, so the idea of having chefs creating colon friendly foods to a city of foodies seemed perfect. We were lucky enough to team up with Rock Harper, the winner of Hell’s Kitchen Season Three and the Executive Chef of DC Central Kitchen, and Crios Restaurant to put on this event. Guests will be able to eat delicious, healthy food, vote for their favorite chefs, talk to nutritionists about the importance of a healthy diet, and mingle with other young professionals. In short, this is Young Professional Board’s interpretation of the best “Top Chef” competition for the Washington, DC area. And we hope you join us for it.
The First Annual Chris4Life Eat4Life’s will be held at Crios Restaurant on March 19th from 6-9pm. For more information, please check out our website at www.chris4life.org/eat4life. And buy your tickets soon, as space is limited!
